CARRIS TWENTY-THREE | STRAIGHT | EVENINGSTAR CINEMA | TOWNSFOLK | KRISTEN STEWART THE INTERVIEW HELLO. THANKS FOR COMING IN TODAY. SHALL WE START WITH YOUR NAME? Jacqueline Mariah Carris. Though that sounds really disgusting and honestly I feel like a prick when people call me Jacqueline. So, I either go by Jack or J.C. Don't dare call me Mariah either, that's just as appalling as Jacqueline. My mother's name was Mariah. She was as absent as... well anyone could be. The only thing more disgraceful than sharing a name with my mother is legally changing it. THAT'S A NICE NAME. WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING? Yeah well I guess it's not the worst name one can have. As far as school or... normal day things. There isn't much. I dropped out of college after less than a semester. I barely scraped past in high school, it was too much effort, and it was an incredibly dumb ass decision to go to college. Didn't work out at all, I never actually went to class. I should have been kicked out but the fact is I just left. Now I work at the theater in the ticket booth. When I say that I mean I give people their change and tickets while being forced to act happy. Never really works. INTERESTING. WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN? Xbox is probably the greatest thing to ever be on this Earth. My shithouse apartment manages to work out. The bill for heating isn't much and then I can still use the gaming system that I've always been soulmates with. Beyond that... work, sleep, eat... I do some working out though because I don't want to be an ugly fatty who will never get laid in her life. Because believe me, I have needs. Anyway, I used to be into the whole skateboarding, drinking, smoking, and partying thing. But since I moved back to Brunswick I've been trying my best to stay clean. Beer is the temptress in my fight for sobriety. WOULD YOU SAY THOSE ACTIVITIES REFLECT WHO YOU ARE? Who are they? This is their personality, so it should be one of the bigger ones. First or Third person. A COOL CAT LIKE YOU MUST HAVE A TON OF SUITORS FLOCKING TO YOU, HUH? Please go into detail about their views on romantic. You can talk about sexuality, their type, or their past relationships. COOL BEANS. THEY SAY YOUR FAMILY SHAPES WHO YOU ARE. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOURS? Explain your character's relationships with his/her family members. Do they like their parents? Their siblings? Do they live with another relative. Pets? Explain why. First or Third person. AND YOUR LIFE? TELL ME ABOUT YOUR PAST. I'M EAGER TO HEAR. This is your history. It should be one of your longer ones. First or Third person. What about a secret? Everyone has a secret. You know how I mentioned my father was murdered and my mother took the blame? Yeah well the deal is I killed him. I was fed up with him beating my mother and my youngest sister, so one day I just strangled him. My mother came home and... I guess she loved him and she hated that I killed him. She told me to get out and I don't know what happened from there. I just knew I was happy to get out of there. ALRIGHT. TIME'S ALMOST UP. TELL ME ABOUT YOUR DREAMS. QUICK! Talk about your schooling, job, etc. First or Third person. AND THAT'S A WRAP. IT WAS NICE GETTING TO KNOW YOU. Oh yeah, it was a pleasure. BEHIND THE MASK HANNAH | SIXTEEN | GMT-7 | ADVERTISED ON WATR | MY FIRST BBY As much as Malory Ballor had always tried to block out the truth about who she was, she had never been able to deny the fact she was a monster. And with the recent events of nearly killing a friend, she could hardly live with herself. Moxie truly wanted to say it was just the thirst taking over, that she didn't know what she was doing or that she wouldn't have ever considered hurting Joey if she had been in her right mind. But the facts were she knew exactly what she had done and what she could do, in the moment she wasn't confused or 'possessed'. She hated to admit it, but she had almost enjoyed the feeling of seeing Joseph struggle, seeing the fear fill his features. None of this made it any better when she saw Joseph in school day after day. The Devil's Snare had managed to separate the two before any physical damage could be done beyond the likely bruised neck from Malory's grip. She didn't want to feel anything other than gratefulness to the plant that it stopped her from making a mistake, from killing someone so innocent. But in the moment she had felt nothing but hatred, but anger. There was more wrong with her than just bloodthirst caused by the curse of being a vampire. No, she was much more dangerous than that and it wasn't that she couldn't control it. She feared it was because she wouldn't. Hogsmeade was full of students that particular weekend. Everywhere Malory went there was little room even to stand. She had visited Honeydukes and picked up some Blood-Flavoured Lollipops. It would have been seen as odd if Malory were the only one buying a batch, but it seemed some other students had ventured to taste the treats from the unusual tastes section. Unwrapping one as she walked back out into the streets, Malory's brown eyes locked on someone she had been hoping not to see. Sadly, Joseph seemed to be in a bit of a trance again, walking in a direction that only meant on destination. The Shrieking Shack. After the night when Malory had caught Joey sneaking up on her, apparently looking for Jason, she had realized that this trance like wandering wasn't an unusual thing for the Hufflepuff. It managed to get him into trouble it seemed. Though she truly had no idea what possessed him to wander around and find the most dangerous of places, she felt a little responsible for his safety. Odd, yes that the girl who had nearly taken his life would want to protect it now but the fact of the matter was she couldn't see him hurt anymore. She was guilty about what she had done to him, how she had hurt him emotionally and mentally. Joey would never be able to look at Mal the same way and she didn't blame him. She had ruined one of the few relationships she maintained despite her curse. Joey had been fine with Malory being a vampire, was curious even. It almost seemed like Malory was out to ruin every chance she had for a normal friendship. She hoped beyond all hope that Jason wouldn't fear her after she knew Joey would tell him. Following the Hufflepuff silently at a distance, Malory began questioning her motives. It wasn't in her to 'finish him off' though he would probably think that was her reason. Sure, there was a dark place inside her that saw no light that wanted him gone and out of the picture. But that was so deep inside that Malory was positive it wasn't her reason. She wanted Joey safe and she knew the Shrieking Shack was anything but. Arriving shortly after Joseph had, Moxie glanced into the main rooms before she saw him dangling from the ceiling, a rope around his ankle. "Dear Lord Joey, do you ever not get into trouble?!" she joked, forgetting for a moment that they weren't exactly on friendly terms. She clamped her hand over her mouth and pulled her wand out, flicking it at the rope and watching as it split, dropping the boy to the ground with a loud thud. Malory bit her lip and put her wand away, watching Joey wearily, not sure what she was going to do next. |
