i'm far too lazy to make this pretty and it's 3am so don't expect it to be coherent either, but whatever. here we go.

this ad here is for vivian's fiance. so, some basic details. in my app, i called him zachary eldridge. i'm not at all attached to that as a name. i just needed to name him so viv could make a point, haha. call him whatever you want. i'm thinking for his age, he'd be a little bit older than viv. probably about 21/22-ish. he can be a college student or townsfolk or whatever you want really. his pb is wide open, though if you're stuck and / or enjoy picture plotting, i can suggest keegan allen or julian morris because i am an indecisive shipper and i love both spoby and wrencer equally. but yeah, i don't really mind. you can run it by me if you want, but i'm not especially fussy about a pb for him, so go nuts.

the plot here is thus. vivian and her fiance are cousins. not by blood. her mother and his father are stepsiblings, so it's all above board, even if it is a little uncomfortable for them. the pair of them grew up together and were close friends when they were young. viv sees him as something of a big brother, so having to marry him is gross for her and she just doesn't want to think about it and basically won't let him kiss her or touch her at all. how he sees her / feels about the engagement is up to you, though i imagined he was slightly more into it for some reason. maybe because he's known they had to get married for longer than she has or something so has had time to warm up to the idea? idk. they've been engaged for just over a year at this point. fiance proposed at her high school graduation and they're due to marry next spring, and it's kinda weird for both of them.

the whole reason they're getting married at all is because of their families and the pressure their parents have put on them. viv's parents are very wealthy but don't feel comfortable letting her inherit everything because girls shouldn't inherit and also vivian is irresponsible and careless and probably would run the family name into the ground. fiance's parents used to be wealthy but lost their fortune somehow and are just kind of trying to stay afloat. so it'd solve both their problems to marry them together. fiance's family would be financially saved, and viv's parents get a male heir who was kind of in the family already rather than some stranger that they'd trust with their money even less than they trust viv. everybody wins! lololol except vivian and her cousin of course

aaand here's where it gets complicated. viv's relationship with her fiance is basically platonic, and so she went and found herself a lover on the side. her lover is not exactly appropriate and couldn't provide for her the lifestyle to which she is accustomed, so her cunning plan is to marry her fiance to secure her monetary future and just keep seeing her boyfriend behind his back. she kind of dgaf at this stage, because she hates the whole situation and is just trying to make it as bearable as possible for herself without minding too much who gets hurt or who she pisses off in the process.

leah will be playing viv's lover, and we had vague eventual plans for him to crash their wedding and publicly shame her for her infidelity, but yeah, nothing's really set in stone at this point. the overall game plan will involve viv and her fiance not actually getting married. though i'm sure we can have some post-engagement threads with them considering they're still family / childhood friends and it'd be awkward and dramatic and we could have a lot of fun with it. yeah.
