SAWYER 18 | HETEROSEXUAL | RETAIL (BOOKSTORE) | HIGH SCHOOL | JEREMY IRVINE THE INTERVIEW HELLO. THANKS FOR COMING IN TODAY. SHALL WE START WITH YOUR NAME? Why was he here again? His mother had told him early this morning that he had a scheduled interview. He couldn't really remember ever having planned any sort of interview at all. Perhaps one for another job? Todd shook his head, confused with his sudden loss of memory as he finally walked into the small office room. There he was greeted by a young, pretty woman. Without thinking, he smiled and nodded politely in her direction just before taking a seat in one of the open chairs. "Yeah, no problem." He said pleasantly enough, but there was a bit of confusion still evident in his voice. "Your name darling?" The interviewer had to prompt him again because he distracted himself with thoughts and concerns on just how he couldn't remember having made this appointment today. "Oh right. Sorry. I'm a little distracted today." The brunette shook his head some, laughing quietly while looking down at his hands. Not two seconds in and he'd already embarrassed himself. "My name is Todd Andrew Sawyer. Don't have very many nicknames... but my mom calls me Toddy, some friends call me Fox, and others go with Sawyer. Those are the only three I have... but you can all me whichever." Nodding again but this time looking up to meet her eyes. He smiled again, but there was something sad about it. The lightness of the gesture didn't quite reach his eyes. THAT'S A NICE NAME. WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING? "You'll have to thank my mother. She came up with it." Humor wasn't really his thing, but Todd was attempting to try and make himself more comfortable in the room and with the woman seated across from him. "I work at a bookstore. Just restocking shelves, helping customers find their way around the place, and things like that." Wasn't the most thrilling of jobs, he wasn't going to lie, but he enjoyed it. The place was quiet and allowed him to think for a few hours, maybe even sneak a few pages of a new book or two. The perfect job for a kid like him. "But I'm also a high school senior so retail is the best I'm gonna get for now." After high school probably meant college for him which meant he would most likely end up keeping his job at the bookstore for at least a couple more years. Or at least he was fired or offered a better job. INTERESTING. WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN? Todd nodded some with a blank expression in place. He was a little concerned and thrown off guard because these weren't questions employers usually asked him when he was applying for a job. What did he do for fun? That hardly seemed like a relevant question in his humble opinion, but maybe that was because he didn't exactly know what he did for fun. Did he even have fun? Probably not. His life consisted of working, studying, taking care of his family, and sleeping. Then the cycle repeated itself. "Uh... good um.. question." He knotted his fingers together in his lap, drawing out his words to try and buy him some more time to think. Fun? What did he do? It would be pretty pathetic if he couldn't think of at least one thing he liked to do when he wasn't being forced to play the role of a responsible adult. "Writing." It suddenly dawned on him that when he had a spare moment or two to himself he would pick up a notebook and pencil so he could just start writing. Whatever came to his head really. Whatever feeling or emotions he was currently going through. Poetry and short stories were his favorite though, because he could live through someone else's eyes for just a little while. "And sculpting. I like that too." Working with clay could be a messy process but it was something he could do at home while in his own company. WOULD YOU SAY THOSE ACTIVITIES REFLECT WHO YOU ARE?
