✖ she changed in her sophomore year; she fell in love with this one guy and literally changed everything about herself to become what he wanted her to be

✖ she quit the lgbt, stopped going out in the garden all the time, stopped hanging out with her family; she broke her mothers' rules, started going to parties, started drinking, and constantly either stayed over at his house or came home at two or three o'clock in the morning

✖ she started going by tris instead of tristan and no one that knew her before liked tris very much, but suddenly she had friends, had a boyfriend, had a life, and she enjoyed it

✖ near the beginning of her senior year, she found out that she was pregnant; her family and boyfriend were going to support her, but she lost the baby around fifteen weeks, and after that, he left her, too

✖ for a few months, tristan was like a shell; it was may of her senior year when she finally started to go back to normal; she rejoined the lgbt and started gardening again

✖ she opened the secret garden at the beginning of the summer and she's mostly back to her old self now, the tristan from before the boyfriend

✖ say hello to analiese juniper, the twenty-two-year-old adopted daughter of a kyle and ashlyn juniper -- who are, respectively, a famous actor and a famous fashion designer

✖ she grew up in miami, mostly with her aunt/nanny, who did everything from diaper-changing to finding chick flicks and ice cream when she went through breakups; ana's parents were more often than not across the world on business

✖ for a couple of years up until she hit double digits, ana did a bit of child acting, mainly in a few of her dad's movies; this doesn't last long when her interest switches to music around her eleventh birthday, and she got a guitar for christmas from her aunt that year

✖ she started recording a couple of demo albums -- mostly shania twain karaoke and a few original songs that were, admittedly, not that great -- and she made a few road trips to nashville with her aunt and her best friend to distribute them to record labels, but nothing came of that

✖ her best friend moved to brunswick when they were thirteen and, honestly, analiese never really made a new best friend; high school was filled with boyfriends, breakups, and finding out she was adopted on her sixteenth birthday, though she wasn't even very upset about that, given that she'd never exactly been that close with her parents and had even started to wonder if she was related to them before then

✖ she took a gap year after high school graduation and moved up to brunswick to start college after that, practically inviting herself to share the basement suite that her old best friend lived in with her brother; she got a job at a local radio station as a part-time radio dj and started taking general courses at university

✖ ana's got a fairly popular youtube channel where she uploads videos of herself with her guitar, singing songs that she wrote; she's trying to get discovered and she's actually pretty good, though anyone who crosses her can expect to find a song directed at them posted soon after

✖ analiese is a loyal friend, though she can be a little guarded; oddly, she tends to be more open with strangers and only pull back once she starts to get to know someone

✖ she'll always be there for a friend when they need her, and trust is important, so if you've betrayed her in the past, she's not going to want anything to do with you

✖ she has this tendency not to realize it when a friendship is one-sided and puts everything into her relationships with people, regardless of whether or not they appreciate it

✖ she makes a point of not caring if people don't like her, but if she's the one who doesn't like them, it's a different story -- a bit of a double standard, but she doesn't like to think of it that way

✖ sometimes, she says or does things without thinking them over first, which can cause some problems; ana's also a bit of a perfectionist, which can get on peoples' nerves a lot

✖ analiese has a long list of old boyfriends (okay, four), none of which have really worked out; she doesn't let her guard down easily to guys, but she tends to be weaker around the ones she's already let in

✖ she's prone to overthinking and stressing out easily, but overall, she's a fairly optimistic, bubbly person; she's stubborn and doesn't like to give up and can turn almost any criticism into something constructive

✖ meet bela, a fifteen-year-old girl who's just made her arrival in brunswick as a runaway from a tiny town called fort kent in northern maine

✖ she spent the last fifteen years of her life in fort kent with her abusive mother and her endless string of boyfriends; bela's older brother, aj, is eight years older than her and acted as a pseudo father

✖ aj is both mute and deaf, which resulted in bela half-learning american sign language; really, all she did was try to mime things at him, and she hasn't signed in years

✖ her brother protected her until she was eight, taking the hits from her, before he taught bela how to cook and clean enough for her to survive and then moved out when she was eight; he left fort kent for good two years later and they lost contact

✖ the bottom line is that bela was neglected; she walked herself home from school, did her own cooking, cleaned the house, and generally learned to be independent as life went on

✖ her mom spends all of her money on alcohol and drugs, and to make money for food, bela did odd jobs around their neighbourhood like dog-walking and lawn-mowing; she was never trusted with babysitting, though, and she's okay with that

✖ she's a little worried that parenting styles are contagious and isn't sure if she ever wants to have children, just in case, but every time she thinks about it, she shuts her thoughts down because she's only fifteen and doesn't want to think about having babies

✖ she also steals things -- shh, don't tell anyone -- to survive; money from her mom, money from her mom's boyfriends, small things from her neighbours' houses that she sells on ebay using library computers, once she stole a woman's purse, took all the cash, left the rest of the wallet in the bathroom at a local coffee shop, and sold the (expensive, by the way) purse online

✖ she'll shoplift if it's necessary; she doesn't do it for the rush, like a lot of teenagers do, but to get things she needs, like food and tampons and sometimes new clothes

✖ the summer before her freshman year, she finally managed to track her brother down by finding his instagram page, and she saved up all her money for a full school year before running away without even leaving a note for her mom

✖ she walked and hitched rides for seven days, slept in public parks and showered in community rec centers, and lived off granola bars and mcdonald's on her way to brunswick, where she plans on going to see her brother because (well, she doesn't know why, really) she has nowhere else to go

✖ bela is an independent girl and, honestly, doesn't think she needs friends; she had one best friend in fort kent who had never even been to her house, and she doesn't trust other people with her secrets easily

✖ she can be a little rude, a little blunt; her brother was the only person she had any social interaction with until kindergarten, and she's not the best at making friends, exactly, leaving her to be a little socially inept at times

✖ this girl is opinionated and stubborn, and she's not going to back down without a fight; unless she's even a little bit intimidated by you, and then she won't fight back, something she's learned from living with her mother

✖ miss bela has never had a boyfriend, and she doesn't exactly believe in love; she's seen her mom's constant parade of men moving through the house, seen how each of them stick around until they get bored and then go on their way, and the fact that most of them are abusive, too, doesn't help

✖ bela is a cynical, skeptical sort of girl who believes that everyone has their best interests at heart and doesn't pay attention to or care about other people

✖ she has a low self-esteem due to the abusive situation she grew up in and doesn't believe that she can truly accomplish anything, or that anyone could ever love her enough not to hurt her

✖ meet miss carlisa almond, who's probably one of the most well-known twenty-five-year-olds who's not actually in the show business anymore

✖ she's canadian and was born in vancouver; she's an only child and her parents were only eighteen when she was born, which is probably why their relationship didn't exactly work out

✖ what the world doesn't know is that carlisa's father was abusive (as well as alcoholic and experimenting with a lot of different drugs) when she was young, and that's why she moved to victoria with her mother when she was eleven

✖ she doesn't talk about her dad much and most people just assume that there was a bad breakup or divorce and don't question her further

✖ basically, when she was thirteen, she entered a local singing competition in victoria and wound up winning, and part of the prize was recording a couple of songs with a record label there

✖ her first song to be released to radio ever gained a lot of popularity in victoria, spreading to the mainland and eventually to the rest of canada while car was signed to an artist development deal and began to work on her first album, which was released in january 2002

✖ unfortunately, due to disagreements with her record label, car was released from her contract; luckily, though, she was signed to 604 records in vancouver soon after to start working on her second cd

✖ she was doing pretty well in canada; her debut album reached #1, she won some juno awards, and she went on tour across north america with the one and only shania twain and across canada with nickelback

✖ car's second cd was released in the states, where it broke the top 5, and her first headlining tour covered all of north america in 2005

✖ this was the high point of carlisa's music career; her music was selling worldwide by the end of 2005, she had a sold-out tour, and she was winning nearly every award that she was nominated for

✖ of course, her fifteen minutes of fame weren't going to last forever, and by the time carlisa's third studio album was released a full four years after her second one, it didn't do nearly as well

✖ it kind of flopped, really, and her management released single after single in various attempts to gain publicity for the album, but to no avail; carlisa was released from her contract with 604 records and didn't get another contract

✖ late last year, car found a job at universal music group in santa monica, california as a songwriter, but she left them this summer to move to brunswick and try to make some new music on her own

✖ car's strong-willed and gained a lot of attention over the years for her rebellious ways; a lot of parents disapprove of her, which she thinks is stupid since the thing that she's always extremely clear about is that she doesn't drink, do drugs, or sleep around, and doesn't like the idea of people who do

✖ she tries not to judge people by her first impression of them, but it's extremely difficult for her; to top things off, she doesn't like to give people second chances

✖ generally speaking, carlisa doesn't care what other people think of her (which means, pretty much, that she does, but she acts like she doesn't so that people can't hurt her)

✖ in her late teens, she had an on-again off-again relationship with a high-profile celebrity (to be requested) who, ultimately, ended things with her because she refused to sleep with him; a good half of her final album is based on him, but anything that the public knows about the dramatic end to their relationship is purely speculation

✖ car can be picky about who she lets in, especially since anyone who gets close enough to her will need to be able to be trusted to keep her secrets (that doesn't happen often, though); she needs people who want to be her friend for her personality, not the fame, and this is considerably easier considering the fact that she's not actually an a-list celebrity anymore

✖ honestly, the girl can be a bit obnoxious and rude without meaning to be, and a lot of people don't like her for that, even if they're a fan of her music

✖ carlisa is stubborn to a fault and can't stand fake people or people who don't have to work hard to get where they are; she swears a lot, but that's as far as her rebellion goes, as car's basically prejudiced against anyone who involves themselves heavily with alcohol, drugs or sex

i think the two of them could be friends? oddly enough, i really think they could. gio would probably be frequenting her store a lot because he buys flowers for evie all the time and he actually knows a lot about flowers like which some them mean and all that good stuff. but he is painfully shy and quiet, so it might take some time for her to break his shell. like, he'd be sweet and willing to talk to her, but would be nervous because he knows that his heavy italian accent makes it difficult for people to understand him and he's just nervous around people in general. but i think he would really take a liking to her. would find her interesting and nice to talk to.

they could be friends? karson is a pretty lovable guy. he's social, charming, kind, but doesn't take shit from anyone. he'd admire her ambition and that she managed to open her own store and keep it afloat. don't know how they close they would be, but i know he wouldn't mind stopping by and chatting with her whenever he passed by the shop or saw her wandering around the town.

alexandra and tristan ; so, i could totally see them relating over the fact that they've gone through some radical personality changes in their lives, if tristan owns up to it. alexandra spent her whole life being forced by her parents to act like her innocent, do-gooder, blonde sister (beatrice) who died before she was born. when she found out what they had been doing, she got three tattoos, four piercings, dyed her hair black, and slept with a man twice her age, basically. she was sixteen and after her 'rents called her worthless, she ran away, and developed into the sailor swearin', self harmin', fire burnin' down the buildings girl she is, with a heart of icy gold and a sweet southern twang to add a little charm. she wouldn't be awful to tristan, though, as she's a nice person who's just been through way too much.
andrea and tristan ; not seeing good things here. andrea would probably snort and roll her eyes and not take tristan seriously at all, if i'm being real. she'd most likely find her weak and spineless and yeah let's just not do them okay?
