DAVENPORT 25 | HETEROSEXUAL| FIRE FIGHTER | EMERGENCY CREW | CHANNING TATUM Miles isn’t a particularly tidy fellow. Laundry is done once he runs out of underwear; dishes are left to accumulate in the sink and the surrounding counter spaces. Cleaning isn’t top priority, to say the least, though this fact can be partially attributed to his demanding work schedule as a fireman. Once in a blue moon, however, even he will grow restless with his clutter. Although rare in occurrence, Miles has perfected the art of speed-cleaning. He chooses the living room to attack first on the basis that it is the most public room in his one bedroom, one bathroom condo. - A couple beer bottles are accumulating on the side table near his sleeper sofa. The labels have been peeled off, but the imprint of the Samuel Adams logo is visible on the glass. Miles isn’t particularly picky about his beer selection, but he prefers Samuel Adams above the rest. [discards] - Wii remotes are lying on the coffee table with an opened MarioKart game cover next to them. Miles has many siblings, and his youngest is seven years old. Sometimes his parents ask him to watch them. The Wii is a great way to keep them occupied. Miles also (secretly) enjoys playing in his free time. {stores away} - The television remote is wedged between the couch cushions. One of Miles’ favorite pastimes is watching sporting events or the news. More often than not, he’ll fall asleep watching a late-night program with the remote nearby. {places on the table} - A book titled The Host by Stephanie Meyer is sitting on the coffee table. Miles keeps meaning to return the book to the girl it belongs to, but he always seems to forget about it. {leaves untouched} - Heavy work boots have been left near the front door. They’re worn with use and covered in dried mud. Miles’ job requires good arch support and durability. {stores in the closet} - A wrinkly white undershirt lays over the armrest of the couch. Much like any normal human being, Miles hates laundry, and he often leaves the job half-finished {shoves in his bedroom dresser drawer} Then he moves to the kitchen: - A basketful of mail sits on the table nestled in the small nook his condo includes. Many of which are old advertisements, bills, and some red Netflix envelopes. {leaves untouched} - Miles has Chinese takeout boxes left out on the counter. Each box is completely empty, demonstrating his enormous appetite. Miles despises cooking, so he's always going out to eat instead. {throws away} - On the countertop surface, there's a questionable glob (jelly, perhaps). Miles doesn't always feel up to the task cleaning up his messes, which could also be related to his social life. He's constantly making mistakes, and he can't be bothered to fix most of them. {cleans with a sponge} - An ex-girlfriend had invested in a tropical-smelling candle that sits on the table. Miles rarely lights the candle, only when he wants to impress someone or recently cleans out the fridge. {lights the candle} - Opening the fridge, Miles is met with a terrible, terrible smell. He wonders if something died in his fridge and soon decides he doesn't want to know the answer. Leftovers from weeks ago have growth on them. {dumps down the sink} - Of course, dishes are also piled up in the sink. Most of them are bowls because breakfast in the only meal Miles ever takes the time to eat at home during the day. {loads them into the dishwasher} Because he's unwilling to face the catastrophe known as his bedroom, Miles heads into the bathroom next. - A bottle of Axe is currently on his counter. A spritz of Axe Phoenix (or the green kind, as Miles calls it) is his scent of choice. None of the other scents really appeal to him, and besides, Pulse was his ex-fiancee's favorite. {sprays on himself} - Towels are laying in the corner of the bathroom, used after Miles' notoriously long, hot showers. Sometimes he forgets they're there and runs out of towels, thus leaving him no other choice than to towel down with none other than a wash cloth. {hangs up} - Miles' shower has half-empty bottles of cheap shampoo on the floor, which he buys from the local market. As long as they get the job done, he cares less about the quality. He must have knocked them down. {replaces on the shelf} - A dainty, old blowdryer sits next to the sink, always plugged in no matter what. Miles is sometimes paranoid he'll knock it into the sink while he's brushing his teeth and kill himself accidentally. {moves closer to the wall} - Smudges on the mirror cloud the Miles reflection. As is the case with his dishes and laundry, he doesn't routinely clean his mirrors. {wipes down} - Thrown carelessly onto the counter, a box of condoms is empty. Ever since Miles split from Jordan, he's slept around, and it's no surprise to find he goes through boxes like water. Sure, he dates, but after spending most of his adulthood with one woman, it's hard to find that will to commit to anyone else. The shower is one of his favorite places to conduct "naughty business." {discards} As he's out of options now, and the entire house must be cleaned before his mother's visit, Miles enters his bedroom: - When Miles walks into the room, a huge Alaskan Malamute is sleeping on his bed. The dog is black and white in color. His name is Rocky. {shoos away} - The bed is unmade, and pillows are everywhere. {pulls the comforter over his wrinkled sheets, throwing the pillows haphazardly near the headboard} - Although he doesn't know why, a football is in the middle of the floor. Miles used to toss the pigskin back and forth with his pops when he was a kid. This later became his passion in high school, for he made the varsity football team. {sets on dresser} - Photocopied school photos of his siblings line his dresser as well, but one accidentally knocked once when he set the football down. He has six siblings, all except one are younger. {stands back up} - Once again, dirty laundry cover the floor. {shoves in his laundry basket} - Sometimes when Miles has a lot on his mind, he'll pull out a shiny diamond ring. Right now, it's on his dresser. It was his ex-fiancee's, and she threw it at him after he admitted his true feelings about their engagement two weeks prior to their big day together. Using the excuse that he "needed to figure himself out," Miles broke off the engagement, but he secretly still loves her, which is why he can't bear to let her go. {stores in sock drawer} - On his tableside, there are maps. Ever since he was a kid, Miles has been interested in traveling, mostly because his dad is a truck driver. The possibility of leaving the small town of Brunswick behind for the city is definitely a sweet dream, but he can't bear to leave the town where Jordan, his ex-fiancee, still calls home. {leaves untouched} - A picture of his high school drama club is stuck to his mirror. Drama club was one of the other activities Miles participated in during high school. He joined originally to pick up girls, and he met the love of his life, Jordan, there.
